Freditsbot

Freditsbot is a Discord bot I made way back when they were still called bots. I try to keep up with it, but Discord has updated a lot of their requirements on how bots/apps can function on their platform, and coding languages are not my strongsuit. One of these requirements includes removing permissions to read messages, which is the permission that allows Freditsbot to "see" commands and know when to send a message. The current workaround is having users @mention the bot in order for the bot to respond, but one of the initial charms of the bot was its ability to randomly chime into a conversation at the mention of a word.
TLDR - I need to be babied when I am coding, and Discord.JS slash commands are not something my feeble brain can comprehend. If you are willing to teach me, please contact me!
Freditsbot (or Fredbot, as a little nickname. Not to be confused with the objectively much better Discord bot, Fredboat) is a very beloved project of mine. I refer to him as my son (he/they/it). I don't keep up with him as much as I should, but I am always taking suggestions on how to better improve him. I'm very proud of my son, he is the very first iCarly-based Discord bot to be verified by Discord!!
